A twinning agreement marking 18-years between San Lawrenz and Colle Umberto has been signed. This agreement will see the two localities continue working together for more unity and active citizenship in the European Union.
To mark the 18th anniversary which fell between the 7th and 11th of December 2022, Noel Formosa and Alessandro Coletti, respective mayors of San Lawrenz and Colle Umberto, Treviso, signed the agreement in the presence of their residents.
The Twinning between San Lawrenz and Colle Umberto was officially signed in 2005 in San Lawrenz and Colle Umberto respectively.
This agreement binds both sides to work to bring together residents of both localities with their respective regions and work in the social, cultural, sports and economic field.
The Mayors said that during these years both have worked tirelessly to see these sectors move forward and thus contribute to bringing the European community forward.
This twinning was so successful that both parties agreed to continue to work on the same agreement and “build on the wonderful experience they managed to create together.”
About a hundred people from both localities took part in this experience at Colle Umberto, which was co-financed by the European Union under the CERV measure.
