The necessary studies are being carried out following an architect’s visit to Triq Mons Giuseppi De Piro in Zebbug, which has partially collapsed, so that the road can be reopened to the public, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri has said.

The Minister was replying to a Parliamentary Question by Opposition MP Chris Said, who had asked what the Minister had done so far and what he intended to do in the near future regarding the partial road collapse of Triq Mons Giuseppi De Piro.

The PN MP said that in recent months part of this road had started to give way and collapse and in recent weeks has had to be completely closed with barriers.

Dr Said also questioned whether there is currently a danger for the residents who have houses in this part of the said road and if a Government architect has been to the site and what decision was made.

Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri replied that the Architect hired by the Ministry went to the site, “and the necessary studies are being carried out so that this road can be reopened to the public.

Minister Camilleri did not reply to the question as to whether there is any possibility of danger to residents of the road.
