National Blood Transfusion Service have advised that donations for A Positive and B Positive blood groups are needed.
The Service said that reserves of these groups are not at acceptable levels. Donations for other blood groups are also needed.
It continued to encourage Gozitans to please keep attending donation sessions, even in this extremely hot weather, to help the patients in need get the necessary blood in a timely manner.
The next session will be on Tuesday, the 8th of August, from 1pm until 5pm, at the Xewkija Clinic. “Renew somebody’s hope to live…give blood.”
“Your cooperation and generosity are greatly appreciated as always,” the Service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Clinic, in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.
Important notes from the National Blood Transfusion Service
The Service reminds everyone that it is very important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
As usual, please wear a mask when attending the clinic.
