Nature Trust – FEE Malta – Gozo Section ensured that a group of 7-year old Skola Sajf students from Victoria Primary School had a fantastic time at Xwejni Bay during an outdoor educational session.

It was explained that the aim of the session was to introduce the youngsters to the wonders of Blue Flag beaches and the importance of keeping our shorelines litter-free.

What are Blue Flag beaches? They are pristine coastal areas that meet the highest standards in water quality, safety, environmental management, and more.

Xwejni is aiming to become a beach of quality, which is the step before becoming a Blue Flag beach.

The educator guided the youngsters through an interactive journey of discovery.

NTM Gozo Section said that they enhanced their observation skills through exciting data collection and a thrilling scavenger hunt. Together they delved into the significance of keeping beaches clean and protecting our marine life.

The youngsters “were excited to become guardians of our precious beaches, promising to spread the message of responsible waste disposal,” the NGO said.

The NTM Gozo Section everyone to “continue to inspire the next generation to appreciate and care for our beautiful coastline.”
