During an event held at the Citadel, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri presented prizes to the winners who participated in the Agriculture and Crafts Exhibition held at the Villa Rundle in August.
The show is organised annually by the Gozo Agricultural, Industrial and Cultural Society and this year more than 350 participants exhibited their produce and work during this traditional exhibition.
The Gozo Minister remarked that “we continue to work together to strengthen the traditions that shape us.”
The Gozo Agricultural, Industrial and Cultural Society dates back to 1855 when the first Agrarial Show was held.
Since then the Society has expanded and works to promote and show appreciation towards the work of the island’s farmers, herdsmen and artisans.
The Society organises yearly events such as the Spring Show in May, the Agricultural, Industrial and Cultural Show in mid-August and the Christmas Exhibition in December.
