Members of the Association EspresjonArti Maltija – Gharb are representing Malta, Gozo and Gharb in Uriangato, Mexico.
Association EspresjonArti Maltija – Gharb are a group of volunteers who create ephemeral art carpets using flowers, salt etc.
They are in Mexico, along with representatives from Italy, Belgium, Spain and Singapore, as well as course Mexico, for the Octave of San Miguel and the 8th International Carpet Meeting.
The Mayor of Gharb, David Apap Agius expressed his sincere thanks to the volunteers for the work they did in collaboration with other organisations in the main frame and for the work on the frame designed (design by Michael Bajada) and taken to Mexico from Gharb, which depicts the image of the Visitation.
He said that “the colours in the design and the way it was made stand out meant it was one of the best frames that was installed in this edition.”
