Society Fashion in Malta – Art historian and researcher Caroline Tonna will be discussing nineteenth century Society Fashion in Malta at the next Il-Hagar Museum lecture in Gozo.
Il-Hagar Museum and Community Cultural Centre in Victoria’s Pjazza San Gorg is offering a special lecture on
Ms Tonna will obviously be referring to last year’s book in which she fleshed out the life of portrait photographer Leandro Preziosi (1830-1869) through hundreds of pages of examples of members of the new emerging class adapting European styles.
This lecture is on Saturday, the 21st of October at 11am. Admission is free of charge, but seat reservations are recommended to events@heartofgozo.org.mt
The museum is located in St George’s Square, Victoria.
