Registered full-time employment totalled 269,674 in May, this was an increase of 8.0% over May 2022.

According to the latest data from the National Statistics Office, part-time as a primary job amounted to 33,528, an increase of 3.9% when compared to the same period in last year.

The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 10.0% over a period of one year reaching 218,445.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 0.2% since May 2022 totalling 51,229.

Compared to May last year, full-time employment for males went up by 8.4% amounting to 163,633, while that for females increased by 7.4% reaching 106,041.
