Early in May 2009, a committee was formed in order to organise an exhibition of books of Anton Saliba. On the 11th of August 2009, a delegation from this committee had a meeting with Giovanna Debono, Minister for Gozo.

During the meeting, the delegation showed the Minister their idea’s and explained that they hoped that an exhibition of books published by Mons. Anton Saliba could take place. During the meeting with the Minister it was agreed that the exhibition would take place at the Gozo Ministry, in St Francis Square, Victoria.

The meeting was a very cordial and pleasant one. The Minister said that she was pleased that the committee had decided to orgainse this exhibition. She promised her support and help, as well as the Ministry’s to aid the committee where possible. The committee said that they would like this exhibition to be primarily of help to all Gozo students.

The exhibition will be inaugurated by the Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono, on Friday, the 9th of October 2009, at 7.30 pm and will remain opened till the 24th of October 2009. Minister Debono said that, 5 or 6 students will be invited for the opening from every school in Gozo.

The delegation of the committee thanked the Minister for showing such a personal interest regarding this idea. The author Mons Anton Saliba presented the minister with copies of his books that had been published so far.
