The Gozo Motocross Championship 2024 opens on Sunday, organised by the Gozo Motocross Association.

As usual the championship consists of 8 events which will take place at Ta Xhajma Motocross Track in Gozo.

There will also be an 8th part Junior championship in which kids above the age of 8 can compete.

The organisers said that during the season there will also be a couple of fun races which have proved to be very popular among Gozitan and Maltese riders alike.

During the February fun race, 6 British riders will be joining local riders in a Memorial Race in memory of Trevor King, a British Moto crosser who passed away recently.

The GMA said that the British riders, who are all big names in the British Championship and the FIM world flat track championship, include Gaz Bishop, Tim Creig, Richard Brown, Ashley Beckett, Ian Rowbotham, and Paul Croxon. Local riders are looking forward to this exciting event.

The GMA thanked their “main sponsor and partner Enemed who together with many other local sponsors, support our association to help push this sport forward and upwards.”

Racing gets underway on Sunday, the 22nd of October, starting at 1pm, entrance is free of charge.
