A 25-year old woman from Qala was grievously injured after she lost control of the quad bike she was riding.

Police said that the accident happened at around 12.45pm on Saturday in Triq in-Nigret, Qala.

The woman was riding a Kymco Mxu when she lost control and the quad bike flipped over.

She was taken to the Gozo General Hospital where she was later certified as having sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
