The fiftieth anniversary of the end of the Gozo Civic Council is being commemorated by Il-Hagar Museum in Gozo.
To mark this event, there will be a discussion between Anton Tabone (first Minister for Gozo) and Antoine Vassallo (Founding President of the Gozo NGOs Association).
The Museum explained that the title MISSIRIJIET U PRESIDENTI – Fathers & Presidents – was chosen simply because they are the sons of two of the Presidents (actually founder-members) who led this experiment in autonomy: Anton Tabone MD and Anton Vassallo.
All are invited to participate in this discussion which will be held in Maltese, with comments also accepted in English.
The Gozo Civil Council Experience is on Saturday, the 18th of November, starting at 11am. Seat reservations are recommended to events@heartofgozo.org.mt
Il-Hagar is located in St George’s Square, Victoria and opens seven days a week from 9am to 5pm, there is no entrance fee.
This can also be an opportunity to visit the two current temporary Exhibitions: Piranesi & Klinger and Philately.
