GO absorbs administration charge on mobile prepaid top-up cards

GO, has announced that is has absorbed its top-up administration charge covering 3% Excise Tax and the 3% increase in VAT on its Pay As You GO mobile top-up cards. As from Thursday, the 1st of October, when topping up, prepaid customers will be getting their full money’s worth in mobile credit.
All GO Pay As You GO customers will find no percentage whatsoever of the top-up card’s actual value deducted as an administration charge. For instance, when topping up with €5, the customer will get €5. Likewise when topping up with €10, the customer will get the full €10 credit, and so on.
Meanwhile GO is going ahead with its opposition of excise tax on mobile telephony and will continue calling for the lifting of such a tax on communication services, on the basis of the fact that VAT is already charged on such services.
All Pay As You GO customers topping up with €20 or €50 can take advantage of GO’s e top-up offer and enjoy free SMS bundles when they top up through the following mechanisms namely: auto top-up, My GO top-up, SMS top-up, OTA top-up, BOV Mobile Service, HSBC Mobile Service, BOV ATM top-up and retail top-up. Customers topping up with €20 will be awarded a free bundle, valid for 30 days, comprising 25 SMS towards GO mobile customers while customers topping up with €50 will be awarded a free bundle, valid for 30 days, comprising 100 SMS towards GO mobile customers. Customers can check the remaining free SMS balance by sending a blank SMS to 50705077 at a charge of €0.05. Other terms and conditions applicable to Pay As You GO and the respective top-up mechanism apply. The offer is valid up to the end of October.
GO’s mobile prepaid top-up cards are available from all GO retail outlets in Malta and Gozo, authorised dealers and resellers, via bank services and online at www.go.com.mt.
