HSBC Malta said it has become aware that fraudsters are calling customers using what appears to be the Bank’s contact centre number 2380 2380.

The Bank warned that they are asking customers to give them their online banking username and a logon code in order to stop some unauthorised transactions on their account.

“Please ignore these calls and hang up any time you are asked to give information such as your online banking username or logon code,” the Bank said.

The Bank stated that it will never ask for confidential details such as usernames, logon codes, pins or credit card details.
