Latest data from the National Statistics Office show that registered full-time employment totalled 277,673 in September 2023, this was an increase of 8.0% over September 2022.

Part-time as a primary job amounted to 33,926, an increase of 3.5% when compared to the same period in 2022.

The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 9.9% over a period of one year reaching 226,221.

Public sector full-time employment increased by 207 persons since September 2022 totalling 51,452, the NSO said.

Compared to September 2022, full-time employment for males went up by 8.4% amounting to 168,839, while that for females increased by 7.3% reaching 108,834.
