A 27-year old motorcyclist was grievously injured in an accident in Gozo on Sunday.

Police said that the accident happened at around midday in Ghajn Ghabdun Street, Kercem.

The motorcyclist, who is from Kercem, was riding a Benelli motorbike when he collided with a Peugeot Partner being driven by a 42-year old man from Zejtun.

The motorcyclist was given first assistance by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital where he was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
