Maltese restaurant awarded two Michelin stars for the first time

The Michelin company, renowned for its international evaluation of culinary excellence, has launched the fifth edition of the Malta Michelin Guide.

For the first time, ION Harbour, a restaurant in Valletta, has been honoured with two Michelin Stars while the Rosami restaurant in San Giljan has been awarded the honour of a Michelin Star for the first time.

The restaurants Fernando Gastrotheque, Under Grain, Noni, De Mondion and Bahia have again confirmed the achievement of the Michelin Star for another year.

The AYU restaurant, located in Gzira, has been included in the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for the first time. The restaurants Terroir in Attard, One 80 and Kaiseki in Valletta, Level Nine and Al Sale in Gozo have been recommended for the first time in the Michelin Guide list.

These details were announced in an event, during which commemorative plaques were presented, and was addressed by Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo in the presence of the Chief Executive of the Malta Tourism Authority Carlo Micallef and Chairperson Gavin Gulia.
