As from tomorrow till Thursday, the 6th the June, the Electoral Commission will be distributing uncollected voting documents from the Identity Cards Office, Victoria, Gozo, for voters registered in Gozo.

The Electoral Commission said that it requests the co-operation of the public as follows:

Voters who are unable to walk should be brought to the ID office in Victoria by a private car. The Electoral Commission recommends that in such cases there should be another person accompanying the driver and the voter so that the accompanying persons could present the voter’s I.D. or Residence Card to one of the Commissioners and indicate to him the place where the voter in the parked car is. The office is located at 28A, St. Francis Square, Victoria.

In cases where elderly and sick persons are unable to be brought by a private car to collect their document, the Commission shall make an effort to deliver the document at their residence. For this purpose, the Electoral Commission requests that the voters themselves or a relative of these voters should call or contact the Electoral Office on 25583240 to furnish the necessary details.

The Electoral Commission requests the co-operation of the public to avail themselves of this service only in cases of justified necessity.

The Electoral Commission also reminded anyone collecting their voting document/s that their voting document/s may only be collected on a personal basis and on the presentation of the voter’s identity or residence card.

?The Commission warned that without the voting document/s, no one would be allowed to vote on polling day.
