Reconstruction work is underway on Triq ta Wara s-Sur in Victoria, which has now joined Triq l-Imghalem through a much needed new junction.
Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri, on a visit to to the site, said that the work is going well, where after the completion of the first part, the residential one, the work is now focused on the second and last phase of this project.
He said that ”once completed this project will serve to ease the traffic from the centre of Victoria, while a bottleneck that used to create inconvenience for drivers will be eliminated once and for all.”
“It will also make it easier for the residents of Zebbug and Ghasri in their daily travel,” said Minister Camilleri.
He added that this was one of a number of important decisions that were taken in order to address the traffic challenge in Victoria.
Work has also started on Triq Gorg Pisani, which will reduce traffic from the centre of Victoria for all those coming and going from Marsalforn,” said the Minister.

Please put the 2nd layer on the road in Triq ta Wara s-Suq, and bring it to the level of the extra pavement, which is dangerous and anzjani are tripping over it. The road already has potholes appearing in the “new” layer. Please finish the jobs before starting new ones which will also get left unfinished.
Lighting too is poor at night in that street.
