The turtle nest at Ramla in Gozo is all set up and protected, said the Nature Trust – FEE Malta – Gozo Section.
There are now 50-60 days of monitoring this nest until it hatches and the NTM Gozo Section said that they are still in need of volunteers to help over the next 2 months.
This new nest was spotted during a routine morning patrol on Saturday morning by the dedicated volunteers of Nature Trust – FEE Malta at Ramla l-Hamra in Gozo.
Anyone wishing to volunteer, please send an email on turtle.ramla@gmail.com for more information, monitoring and to help with turtle nests.
The ERA said that while visiting the site you can help by:
· Keep noise levels down near nesting areas
· Avoid trampling or shining lights near the site
· Report any turtle activity to ERA (2292 3500) or NTM (9999 9505).
