In a Facebook post on Sunday, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola, said that ”this Tuesday, I am running for another term as President of the European Parliament because I strongly believe in Europe.”
Ms Metsola stated, ”I am convinced of the huge positive change that Europe has brought and continues to bring in people’s lives. In all cities, regions, islands, towns and villages, from Helsinki to Nadur, Madeira to Warsaw, Europe is the answer.”
”I want a stronger, safer and fairer Europe, that people can feel and touch in their daily lives. A Europe of hope, that transforms our young people’s dreams into reality, that protects, that provides opportunities, that guarantees rights to workers, that supports investment.
”That is the Europe that I am determined to continue working for every day,” she said.
