Housing market activity in Gozo picked up in July, with final deeds of sale up on both the previous month and last year, the National Statistics Office said today.

However, the NSO noted that promise of sale agreements in Gozo were the lowest out of all districts recorded, with 106.

Data released today by the National Statistics Office today show that 143 final deeds of sale on residential property were registered in Gozo during July, this was up by 21 on June, and by 9 on July 2023.

In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, there were 71 final deeds of sale, up 8 on June and by 8 on July 2023.

While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija there were 72, this was up by 13 on June and by 1 on July 2023.

Promise of sale agreements in the Gozo and Comino District were the lowest out of all districts at 106, down by 2 agreements on June and down 15 on July 2023.

In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, the promise of sale agreements totalled 60, up by 2 from June, and by 3 on the same month in 2023.

While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija, the figure was 46, the same number as June, but down by by 18 on July 2023.
