Housing market activity in Gozo slowed again in August, with final deeds of sale down on both the previous month and last year, the National Statistics Office said today.

The NSO noted that promise of sale agreements in Gozo were the second lowest out of all districts recorded, with 122, however this figure was up on the previous month and August last year.

Data released today by the National Statistics Office today show that 132 final deeds of sale on residential property were registered in Gozo during August, this was down by 14 on July, and by 36 on August 2023.

In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, there were 73 final deeds of sale, this was the same as July, but down by 20 on August 2023.

While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija there were 59, this was down by 14 on July and by 16 on August 2023.

Promise of sale agreements in the Gozo and Comino District were the second lowest out of all districts at 122, but up by 16 agreements on July and by 15 on August 2023.

In the cluster of localities made up of Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Kercem, Munxar, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Sannat and Zebbug, the promise of sale agreements totalled 70, up by 10 from July, and by 25 on the same month in 2023.

While in the cluster of localities of Ghajnsielem and Comino, Nadur, Qala, Xaghra and Xewkija, the figure was 52, up by 6 in July, but down by by 10 on August 2023.
