Building on the success of the 2012-2020 NBSAP, the ERA said that the new plan outlines 22 targets and 79 actions focused on conservation, addressing biodiversity loss, sustainable resource use, raising awareness, and enhancing cooperation.

The ERA said that under each of the policy areas targets to be achieved by 2030 have been defined.

“These targets encompass areas such as protected areas, ecosystem restoration, genetic diversity, invasive alien species, climate change, pollution, sustainable agriculture and fisheries, biotechnology, the integration of biodiversity into public and private sectors, as well as education and public awareness,” the Authority said.
