In a statement on Monday, the Nationalist Party argued that, “we have a compromised Prime Minister who ends up defending his Ministers’ frauds to prevent them from exposing his own wrongdoings.”

The Nationalist Party claimed that “while Maltese workers head to work come rain or shine, fulfilling their duties as expected, Labour Ministers and their inner circle act like Gods, thinking they can steal €70,000 from the public purse to fatten their own wallets without any consequence.”

The PN went on to say that during the presentation of the 2025 Budget Estimates for Gozo in Parliament, the Leader of the Nationalist Party, Bernard Grech, expressed shame at how the Government “only remembers Gozo in speeches, yet completely neglects it in terms of infrastructure, health, education, and every other sector.”

“The Minister for Gozo, Clint Camilleri, is busy serving his fellow Minister, Clayton Bartolo, instead of the people of Gozo,” the PN said.

The Nationalist Party stated that “rather than focusing on bettering Gozo and serving the Gozitans, we have a Minister preoccupied with scratching his colleague’s back and scheming to defraud workers to pay €1,300 a week in taxes to the wife of another Minister.”

The PN concluded by saying that “for a new Nationalist Government, Gozo’s place will no longer be confined to speeches; it will be at the heart of decision-making. Now more than ever, Gozitans are waiting for someone to truly remember them and Gozo. For the Nationalist Party Gozitans remain a priority.”
