Latest data from the National Statistics Office show that registered full-time employment totalled 286,502 in June, an increase of 5.3% over June 2023.

The NSO noted that part-time as a primary job amounted to 35,288, an increase of 5.9% when compared to the same period in 2023.

Private sector full-time employment went up by 6.1% over a period of one year reaching 234,365.

The data shows that public sector full-time employment also increased by 1.8% since June last year, totalling 52,137.

The NSO said that as compared to June 2023, full-time employment for males went up by 5.1% amounting to 173,258, while that for females increased by 5.5% reaching 113,244.
