A group of 15 volunteers currently undergoing training to be come qualified as emergency medical technicians – basic, last Saturday took part in a exercise simulating a multiple casualty incident.
Two ambulances and a rescue vehicle were deployed to the scene at 16:45 hrs. The volunteers had to provide pre hospital care to the injured patients, do extrication of trapped patients, perform triage and provide psychological support.
Casualty make up was done by Felicia Muscat, who is head of the casualty moulage unit. Well done to the whole team .

One day this ‘accident’ will be real, let’s hope the Red Cross are still around to respond.
Unless the government provide adequate funding NOW they won’t be!
