Christmas festivities opened in Gozo on Saturday evening with the show – Christmas its time, at the Astra Theatre in Victoria.

The Ministry for Gozo and Planning, through the Cultural Heritage Directorate, said it has prepared a vast programme of activities for the Christmas period. This programme with activities taking place in localities across the island, continues until the 6th of January 2025.

The event, with the involvement of Ray Calleja, Daniel Cauchi and the Big Band Brothers, Michael Spagnol and other guests, managed to combine music, literature and humour together, both old and new for the Christmas spirit.

The culmination of the Christmas programme will be reached on New Year’s Eve with a concert from 9pm until 2am at Independence Square, Victoria, with the participation of local bands and DJs including, The Travellers, Ryan

Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri thanked all the volunteers and participants who make these activities possible and encouraged everyone to choose Gozo once again this Christmas.
