Prime Minister Robert Abela was in Gozo on Sunday and during a political activity in Mgarr he expressed his thanks to a number of people, including Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri and former Gozo Minister and Education Minister Justyne Caruana.
Justyne Caruana was present in the audience for the event and the Prime Minister said in reference to her that, “I still believe that Gozo and Malta needs you and your contribution.”
He reiterated the Government’s vision for Gozo as “an island of villages” and spoke of the projects that have been completed on the island, with the Gozo Aquatic Centre which is soon to be opened, the Prime Minister said.
The majority of Abela’s speech in the political activity was aimed at the Nationalist Party and in particular its Leader, Bernard Grech, calling him a “fraudster” and a “tax evader.”
Update: Nationalist Party Leader Bernard Grech, speaking at a political activity in Malta, noted that Robert Abela visited Gozo today “but not to announce a modern ferry fleet, the opening date of the new Gozo hospital, the completion of disastrous roads, or the finalisation of Gozo’s court facilities.”
“Instead, Grech said, “he went merely to attempt damage control, knowing the Gozitans are disgusted by Minister Camilleri’s actions, who, instead of representing them, is robbing them blatantly.”
The PN leader urged everyone “who feels defrauded by Ministers like Clint Camilleri to attend tomorrow’s protest at 6pm in front of Parliament.”
