The ‘Adoration of the Magi’ event will once again be organised to bring an end to the Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem nativity village.
The Magi will be visiting a number of towns and villages along the way in Malta and Gozo during the weekend when Epiphany is celebrated.
The departure starts today, Saturday, the 4th of January, with a visit to Sant’Anton Palace where the Three Kings will pay a visit to President Myriam Spiteri Debono.
The Three Kings will then visit Corradino Correctional Facility, Paola and Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi. At 5.15pm, the Magi will arrive in Qormi at San Bastjan Parish Church followed by St George Parish Church.
On Sunday, when Epiphany is celebrated, the Three Kings will start their journey from Mgarr (Malta) at 9.00am before leaving for Mellieha where they will visit the Home for Elderly and meet King Herod in the main square.
The Three Kings will then leave for Cirkewwa and will eventually arrive in the port of Imgarr at around 3.00pm with a stop to St Joseph Home for the Elderly and Dar Arka. From there, the three Kings will start their final journey to make the triumphal entrance to Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem where they will present gifts to the Baby Jesus.
This will bring to an end the 15th edition of the nativity village that once again attracted thousands of visitors during the month of animation.
