On Monday, the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) opened its doors to one hundred and two recruits; including fourteen females, and two Gozitans.
The AFM said that the recruits reported at Luqa Barracks gate at 7am, after having successfully completed the selection process consisting of a physical fitness test, a military test and written assessment, an interview and a complete medical examination.
On their first day in their army careers, the Recruits took an Oath of Allegiance to the People and the Republic of Malta and its Constitution.
