President Myriam Spiteri Debono recently met with the management of Gozitan NGO Sigar at San Anton Palace.
The NGO is an environmental conservation organisation which, it said, is “helping to green Gozo by planting the right tree, in the right place and the right way.”
During the meeting, the representatives of the organisation spoke about micro-afforestation projects around Gozo, including an upcoming project involving children, that will be carried out in collaboration with EkoSkola.
They emphasised on the importance of increased environmental awareness, especially among Gozitan students.
