A woman has been seriously following a traffic accident in Nadur, Gozo, on Saturday afternoon.

Police said that a collision occurred between a car and a truck at around 1.30pm in Triq ir-Rabat.

The woman, aged 43 from Sannat was driving a BMW, and an ERF truck which was involved in the collision, was being driven by a 26-year old man from Xewkija.

A medical team provided first assistance at the scene before the woman was taken to the Gozo General hospital where she was certified to have serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
