A reminder that next Sunday, the 46th anniversary of Freedom Day – Jum il-Helsien, will be celebrated in Gozo with a vocal and instrumental concert – Maltin Biss – at the Don Bosco Oratory Hall, Victoria.

During the concert the Malta Police Band will perform a selection of songs in Maltese accompanied by established singers Mary Spiteri, Mike Spiteri, Kirsty Spiteri and David Joseph Sammut.

The Cultural Heritage Directorate – Ministry for Gozo and Planning has organised the concert which starts at 7pm on Sunday, the 30th of March.

Admission is free of charge, no booking is required.

Freedom Day is commemorated on the 31st of March, when on this date in 1979, the Defence Treaty with Britain came to an end as the last British forces left the Island.
