If you are in Gozo next weekend for the Public Holiday, then why not buzz along to the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria, where the Honey & Bee Fest will be providing an opportunity for everyone to show their support for Gozo’s beekeepers.

Visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy a sweet celebration, featuring honey inspired goods, local craft, interactive art and crafts station, educational stalls, beekeeping classes, information on agriculture in general, food vendors and the promise of plenty of fun for all.

The European Food Safety Authority has said that “it is a well-known fact that the bee population, especially in Europe, is declining at an alarming rate.”

Did you know that bees are vital for a resilient, thriving natural environment and for stable, healthy food supplies including the varied, colourful and nutritious diets.

So please visit the Villa Rundle for this free event next Saturday and Sunday, the 7th and 8th of June, between 10am and 6pm, and give your support to local beekeepers, their bees, genuine Gozitan honey and local artisans.
