Joseph Fenech appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Projects Gozo

Joseph Fenech has been appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of Projects Gozo, the Ministry for Gozo and Planning said.

He served for six years as Executive Director of the Gozo General Hospital (2018-2024).

The Ministry said that prior to this role, Mr Fenech held several senior management positions including Head of Nursing and Operations and Head of Nursing Services at the Gozo General Hospital. “In these capacities, he led multidisciplinary teams while implementing operational reforms across a wide range of clinical specialities.”

Mr Fenech has served for the past year and a half in the Office of the Permanent Secretary within the Ministry for Gozo and Planning. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Global College Malta and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Health Science from the University of Malta.

Minister for Gozo and Planning, Clint Camilleri, congratulated Joseph Fenech on his appointment and stated that Mr Fenech’s experience and leadership “will be instrumental in better managing capital projects on the island of Gozo.”

He said that Projects Gozo will initially focus more on managing and maintaining projects in Gozo once they are completed.
