Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by the Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri and the Minister for Health and Active Ageing Jo Etienne Abela, visited the Children, Adolescents and Youth Services Centre in Victoria, Gozo.

This modern centre, which was opened last year, offers a range of medical and therapeutic services for children, adolescents and young people, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy, child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as new services such as educational dental hygienist, community paediatrics and family therapy.

It was explained that approximately 300 children and their families are benefiting from this centre, which is located close to the Gozo General Hospital.

During this visit, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to meet several families who were making use of this service.

The Prime Minister thanked the team of professionals who are offering this essential service in an appropriate and inclusive environment.

He stressed the importance of services that place children and their families at the centre of care, and that are also accessible to the Gozitan community.
