National Statistics Office data released today has revealed that registered full-time employment totalled 292,783 in January 2025, an increase of 3.2% over January 2024.

Part-time as a primary job amounted to 35,009, an increase of 6.2% when compared to the same period in last year.

The NSO noted that private sector full-time employment went up by 3.1% over a period of one year reaching 238,876. While public sector full-time employment increased by 3.7% since January 2024 totalling 53,907.

As compared to January 2024, full-time employment for males went up by 2.7% amounting to 176,712, while that for females increased by 4.0% reaching 116,071, the NSO said.
