A summer traffic pattern advisory has been published by Malta International Airport highlighting the airport’s peak operational periods over the coming weeks to assist departing passengers in planning their journey more efficiently.

MIA advised that additional signage has also been installed throughout the terminal to guide guests smoothly through the airport. Boarding passes can be downloaded to a mobile device, allowing you to proceed directly to the security screening area upon arrival at the terminal.

Time Your Arrival: Please arrive at the terminal no more than two hours prior to your flight’s scheduled departure time, unless advised otherwise by your airline.

Pack Smart: Liquids in hand luggage must be under 100ml and placed in a clear, resealable plastic bag. These items, as well as laptops and electronics, should remain inside the luggage during screening.

Have Travel Documents Ready: To streamline your journey from check-in to boarding, ensure that your passport, boarding pass and any required visas are easily accessible.

Stay Informed: Monitor Flight Information Display Screens throughout the terminal for real-time updates, including flight status and gate allocation.

Stay Hydrated: Carry a refillable water bottle with you and top up after security at one of the airport’s free water stations.
