“Every farmer in Gozo has access to New Water from the nearest dispenser,” said Environment and Energy Minister Miriam Dalli.

The Minister was replying to a Parliamentary Question tabled in the House by Opposition MP Chris Said as to when it would be possible for all farmers in Gozo to make use of New Water. Said also asked which areas in Gozo do not have access to this water.

Just last week, Luke Said, Nationalist Party Candidate for Gozo, highlighted the plight of Gozitan farmers, saying, “skipped deadlines mean that Gozitan farmers are still waiting for the New Water system.”

He listed eight “missed deadlines” since 2017 for the start on the New Water system.
