Il-Hagar Museum in Victoria, Gozo, said that this year, it has decided to reintroduce Il-Pranzu ta’ San Martin after an absence of a couple of years.

This Sunday lunch fundraiser will be held on Sunday, the 9th November at 12:30pm at the charming Berta’s restaurant at Cesca Boutique Hotel, overlooking the Xlendi Valley, midway between Victoria and Xlendi.

Il-Hagar advised that “more than anything else, this will primarily be an occasion for friends and supporters to come together and enjoy good company and delicious food.”

To be able to run an institution that operates entirely on a volunteer basis, the administration of Il- Hagar Museum depends on donations from visitors and the support of its friends, it said.

The museum explained that it would not be able to function without the contributions of its dedicated volunteers, who give their time, skills, and ideas to ensure that the museum can open its doors 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, and offer the community a rich, year-round cultural programme.Il-Pranzu ta' San Martin Sunday Lunch fundraiser for Il-HagarIl-Hagar went on to explain that, “the financial assistance the museum receives from both public and private institutions is minimal, if not negligible, so it must turn to its friends for support by attending the fundraisers it organises from time to time.”

For reservations or further information on the lunch, please send an email to events@heartofgozo.org.mt, contact via the museum’s social media pages, or send a WhatsApp message to +356 7956 1540. Price per person is 50 euro and 10 euro for children aged 5-11 years.

Il-Hagar noted that for logistical reasons, reservations will be accepted until noon on Saturday, the 8th of November. “When placing a reservation, it is very important that you indicate your preferred main course from the 2 options offered on the menu, as well as any dietary requirements you may have. If informed in good time, the kitchen will gladly cater for pescatarians and patrons with other dietary needs as well.”

“We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible to this special occasion,” said the museum.
