On Saturday, to mark All Saints’ Day, Mixeghla tal-Qaddisin – The Light of the Saints, – an annual tradition is taking place across Gozo, organised by the Cultural Heritage Directorate within The Ministry for Gozo.
At dusk on that evening, streets, squares, and spiritual landmarks will be adorned with thousands of flickering candles, casting a warm and serene light over intricate religious designs and artistic expressions.
Parishes in Gozo will also illuminate their parvis or square with candles, each with a unique design, creating a serene and reverent atmosphere.
Everyone is invited to join in this act of remembrance and reflection to honour the saints who have touched their lives.
Mixeghla tal-Qaddisin is being held on Saturday evening, the 1st of November, from 6pm onwards. The preparations with the setting out of the candles will being during the afternoon.
