Police said that a 41-year old man died on Sunday afternoon at the Victoria bus terminus after allegedly choking on some food.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 12.30pm following a report that a man had collapsed.

The man, who was with a group of people at the bus terminus, was given first assistance at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
