A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Gozo Business Chamber and the Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce.

The agreement was signed by President Michael Galea on behalf of the Gozo Business Chamber, and by Joseph Borg on behalf of the Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce. Joseph Borg serves as National Vice-President of the Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce. Also present for the ceremony was the Australian High Commissioner to Malta, His Excellency Matt Skelly.

The GBC said that this Memorandum of Understanding was signed following months of dialogue and meetings between the two entities.

All parties involved described it as an important step towards building a fruitful cooperation between the two organisations. High Commissioner Matt Skelly stated that there is strong potential for this cooperation, particularly in sectors where Gozo can diversify its economy.

The Gozo Business Chamber and the Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce said that they look forward to further work within the framework of cooperation that has now been established between the two entities.
