The 16th edition of Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem opens next Sunday at Ta’ Passi Fields, Ghajnsielem, Gozo
The live nativity scene is spread over an area of 20,000 square metres, and seeks to replicate, the atmosphere and environs of Bethlehem at the time when Jesus Christ was born over 2000 years ago, with the help of around 100 volunteer actors to set the scene.
The magical event is synonymous with the Christmas season in Gozo and attracts thousand of visitors from both home and abroad to experience the truly magical nativity village.
The main attraction for visitors to the nativity village is of course the Grotto, with the Baby Jesus in the loving arms of Mary and with Joseph by her side.
