A 39-year old man was grievously injured after falling two storeys from a balcony in Gharb, Gozo.

Police said that the accident happened at around 7.30am on Wednesday morning in Alley Number 4, Frangisk Portelli Street.

The man, who is from Mosta, was given first assistance by a medical team at the scene before being taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
