The 14th edition of Gieh in-Nadur Award was held on Friday, when Rev Dr Raymond Portelli was honoured with the award by the Nadur Mayor, Miriam Portelli .

The ceremony took place during a special programme held by the Nadur Local Council at its premises at the Joe Tabone Hall. The trophy for the presentation was designed by Mr Joe Meilaq.

Mr Michael Camilleri Cauchi, representing the Order of St Peter & St Paul presented a cheque to Fr Raymond, while Marita Bigeni and Peter Paul Buttigieg read the profile.

Ms Marita Bigeni was the compere for the evening. The Karma Duo provided the entertainment for the event.

Present for the occasion were the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono and the Minister for Justice and Social Affairs, Chris Said.
