Earlier this morning a body believed to be that of the 13-year old Polish national was recovered by divers in a specific area where dives by Armed Forces of Malta and Civil Protection Department personnel were being concentrated as directed by the Rescue Coordination Centre.

The AFM said that the body will be handed over to the competent authorities.

The Armed Forces of Malta extended their “deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the victim during this extremely difficult time.”
