The Police said that a 44-year old man from Nadur died on Thursday evening following a traffic accident in Ghajnsielem, Gozo.
The accident happened at around 6.45pm in Triq Borg Gharib.
The initial Police investigation indicate that a collision occurred between a VW Polo, driven by a 41-year old from Qala and a SuperSoco motorbike which was being ridden by the victim.
The motorcyclist was given first assistance by a medical team at the scene, but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Magistrate Monica Vella appointed an inquiry into the case.
Police investigations are ongoing.
