”The work carried out by voluntary organisations is indispensable to our society, and the work of the OASI Foundation makes a significant difference in the lives of individuals struggling with addiction, as well as their relatives and loved ones, said PN Leader Alex Borg during a visit to the OASI Foundation in Ghajnsielem.

Alex Borg met with residents and the Foundation’s professional team during the visit to gain a deeper understanding of the sensitive work carried out in the field of rehabilitation and the support services provided by OASI to individuals facing challenges related to addiction.

He was welcomed by the Foundation’s Chief Executive Noel Xerri and members of the Board of Directors, who spoke about the need for increased resources and investment in prevention and rehabilitation services, as well as the importance of ongoing education within the community, particularly among young people.

They also discussed the operational challenges currently being faced by the Foundation in the context of a growing demand for the services it provides.

Alex Borg reiterated his commitment to continue supporting the OASI Foundation and its staff. He emphasised that Gozo must be equipped with all the necessary tools and resources to provide quality services to those in need of assistance.

PN candidates for the general election in Gozo, Beppe Galea and Luke Said, accompanied the Leader of the Nationalist Party during this visit.
